Our company's story

Ricardo founded Montero Drywall and Interiors after realizing a need; a need to build something lasting, something his family could be proud of and something his name could stand behind. That responsibility became more real when he found out he was going to become a father. It pushed him to take the work, the business, and the name behind it deeper. Montero is more than a company name to Ricardo. It carries family meaning, a name connected to his grandfather, passed down through his father, and tied to the values he wants the business to stand for: hard work, honesty, and honor. Ricardo’s experience started at a young age working alongside larger contractors, where his work ethic earned him opportunities in rough carpentry, finish carpentry and interior punch list work. Over time, he became the person others trusted to handle the details and finish the job right. That experience also shaped what he does not want Montero to become. He has seen what happens when work is rushed, homes are treated carelessly, and clients are made to feel like just another job on the schedule. Montero was built to be different. Ricardo believes a job is not finished until he would be comfortable putting his name behind it. Whether it is a drywall repair, paint touch-up, or a list of repairs before a home sale, his goal is to bring professionalism without making the process feel cold. Giving clients someone they can trust, talk to, and feel comfortable welcoming into their home.
